Thursday 8pm Set in the glitzy, star-studded nightlife of Las Vegas stands the famous venue ‘Casino!’ It’s reputation for exclusiveness and high standards ensures that it attracts the most glamorous of patrons including wealthy businessmen, Hollywood stars and even royalty. Not everything however is as it seems, for beneath the polished exterior lies a tarnished image corrupted by secrecy and crime where even the unwitting are drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit. At ‘Casino!’ the stakes are always high… A modern day game of politics, intrigue and crime set within a Las Vegas casino for 30 players. Appropriate costume includes suits, tuxedos, cocktail dresses etc – the more glamorous, the better! After the death of Henry I in 1135, England descended into a period of unrest due to his failure to leave an uncontested succession. When Stephen of Blois, Henry’s nephew, seized the throne with backing from powerful English barons, Matilda, Henry’s only legitimate daughter decided to invade England to reclaim what she believed was rightfully hers. Many prominent nobles have been attempting to use the civil war to their advantage by seizing local authority and as a result the country is in chaos and anarchy. The town of Winchester is no different and ultimately it’s inhabitants, whether nobles, militia, peasants or even the Benedictine monks from the Abbey, must decide on whose side they will stand… This is a medieval period game for 30 players. Appropriate costume includes medieval style garb. Some costume may be provided for those who don’t have anything suitable. The Hellfire Club Friday 8pm Enter the strange and beguiling world of the Hellfire Club, a secret society where you can get away with almost anything. Officially a drinking and gambling club for the privileged and well connected, once inside you may experience all sorts of debauchery and vices. It has been rumoured that a stranger once appeared at a card table, dropped a card and when one of the members bent down to pick it up they noticed that the stranger had cloven hoofs! Even murder, it seems, is not beyond those that reside within the Hellfire Club. A game of politics, intrigue, black magic and debauchery set in the Victorian period for 30 players. Appropriate costume includes Victorian, outlandish period dress or even a simple robe but preferably not modern. Some costume may be available for those that don’t have anything appropriate. Hotel Strange Saturday 8pm Set on the Yorkshire Moors, Hotel Strange appears to be a somewhat unimposing building. You would never realise from its quaint exterior that the hotel is in fact styled in the shape of a pentagon, nor would you expect it to have more than 4 floors but then, the hotel is a bit of an enigma. The numbering system for a start is somewhat unusual with the first floor being at the top and there are rumours of hidden rooms and secret passages. Perhaps these quirks are why it proves so popular with the tourists and year after year it is always full or at least so I have heard – for never have I actually met someone who has been to Hotel Strange and come back to tell the tale… A modern day supernatural/horror style game set in Hotel Strange for 30 players.
